Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary
Dubai Creek Harbour is located next to the Ras Al Khor Wild life Sanctuary where the residents will have opportunity to view thousands of birds. Ras Al Khor is a wetland reserve for tens of thousands of birds including reef herons, cormorants, great egrets, sandpipers, black-winged stilts, grey herons, and much more.
Ras Al Khor is known as the 'Cape of the Creek' and is easily protected and monitored by the Dubai Municipality. For residents and the guests there are three birds hides situated on the perimeter of the sanctuary which are free for everyone to access during daylight hours.
Ras Al Khor is a perfect place for the nature lovers and visitors to enjoy and experience the birds in their habitat while keeping the quality of the area for its winged residents. It is spanning over the 6km and offers a variety of salt flats, mangroves, intertidal mudflats, and lagoons for the birds to use for individual habitats and their nests.
